I draw because it makes me happy, and kills time. Guess that is what matters, right? I really should practice more, but sometimes I find it hard to just sit down and draw though, with so many other distractions...I am distracted easily. Mainly by video games.
I am a perfectionist, but cannot perfect anything for the life of me...thus is my artistic paradox. Or something. It is really annoying and I despise my brain for it.
Oh, and I love My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and it inspired me to get a tablet and start digital art. So a lot of my stuff is probably going to be ponies.
I do manage to draw other stuff as well, but nothing specific. Mostly just whatever strikes me at the moment. Sometimes I will just throw lines down haphazardly and then create an idea from whatever the lines seem to coalesce into. (This is how I created Salleth)

Ever since I bought my Wacom tablet and decided to get somewhat serious about drawing, I look at everything so much differently now. I look at any piece of art, whether it is a scribble or a masterpiece, and my attention is immediately drawn to the lines, the lighting and shading, the colors and textures, the placement of the different elements, and then finally the piece as it comes together as a whole in a technical sense. Only then do I look at the piece for what it evokes and proceed to either appreciate it, or acknowledge and move on. I never used to even bother with these things, only doing the latter and and not giving the image a seco
